We will pick you up in the morning from your Hotel and we will take you for a trip to the most typical areas with open markets in the city of Santa Cruz and surrounded areas. There, you will feel as a genuine local. Walking among colorful stands of fruits, vegetables, and local products, you will discover the authentic flavors of Colchagua and experience the daily rhythm of its people. This lively atmosphere will connect you with the city’s soul while we carefully select the fresh ingredients for our cooking experience.

With our baskets full, we will continue to Apalta Vista Wine Lodge, where the class will take place in its cozy quincho called “La Guarida”, a space specially designed for sharing food, wine, and traditions while overlooking the breathtaking vineyards of the Apalta Valley.

Here, you will join a hands-on cooking class, learning step by step how to prepare two classic Chilean dishes. Guided by a friendly local chef and staff, you will not only cook, but also learn the stories and traditions behind each recipe*. Even with no prior cooking experience, you will feel like a true local chef. To take this experience with you, we will provide written recipes of the dishes prepared, so you can recreate the flavors of Colchagua and shared back home.

The cooking class concludes with a friendly lunch paired with fine Chilean wines, celebrating the flavors you created with your own hands with this unique view.
